Kia is making its debut in India with a new SUV concept

Kia Motors India (KMI) will make its Indian market debut at the Auto Expo 2018 in New Delhi with a new concept vehicle. Called the Kia SP Concept, the little crossover previews a new model that the Korean automaker is developing specifically for the Indian market.

The company is however careful not to reveal details of the new SUV though it did mention it would boats of cutting edge design duly complemented with advanced features and sophisticated style.
The new SUV will be offering more space than the Kia Sorento but we will have to wait and see if it is enough to improve the SUVs sales for Kia.

Commenting on the company's plans, Kia Motors Corporation President Han-Woo Park said, "We aim to set a new standard in the Indian auto industry by providing consumers with world- class products and services, while engaging with and giving back to the local community". Also, Kia does not want to divert from its core area of focus in India - mass market cars.

Electric and hybrid cars happen to be another craze now gripping the auto industry. The upcoming 14th edition of the "Auto Expo - The Motor Show" 2018 will offer visitors a chance to witness 24 launches and unveiling of around 100 vehicles.

Kia will showcase the concept alongside a full range of its global models: 16 in all, ranging from EVs and plug-in hybrids to the Stinger sports sedan.
Kia Motors officially announced its entry in the Indian market in April 2017, with the signing off a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh to build a new manufacturing facility in Anantapur District. This one's destined for the Auto Expo show in New Delhi.
